WindNow is live on the coasts of France, Croatia and Slovenia

WindNow now shows live wind on three coastlines: France (Atlantic, Channel, Mediterranean and Corsica), Croatia (the full Adriatic run from Istria to Dubrovnik) and Slovenia (the Gulf of Trieste and its Karst wind country).

What "live" means here

Every arrow on the map is a real anemometer reporting real wind — speed, gusts and direction. No forecast model, no interpolation between grid points. The best sources report every 6–10 minutes, and every reading on the map carries its age, so you always know whether you're looking at now or at half an hour ago.

• In France, observations come from Météo-France's station network, updated every 6 minutes, gusts included.
• In Croatia, DHMZ stations report with 10-minute gusts along the whole Adriatic coast.
• In Slovenia, ARSO stations cover the Gulf of Trieste — bora country, where minutes matter.

Why only three countries

We only claim a coast once its wind stations are genuinely live on the map. More coasts are in the works — Italy is in final checks, and talks with Greek providers are under way. When a coast ships, it shows up on the coverage map the same day.
